Collecting and Using Your Personal Data
Types of Data Collected
We process your personal information to provide, maintain, and improve our Services, ensure functionality, enhance your experience, communicate with you, and meet legal obligations. When you use the app, we may collect photo metadata to enable features like facial recognition, key-point detection, and personalized effects. This biometric data is used temporarily to offer better filters and visual experiences, then discarded. It is not stored, shared, or used to personally identify you.
When you create a profile in the Focusaurus app, we may request access to your device's photo gallery. This permission is used only to allow you to upload profile photos and personalize your appearance within the app. These photos are not used for any other purpose and are never shared or stored outside of what is necessary for your profile. Similarly, if you use features that require voice input (such as voice messages or audio interactions), we may request access to your microphone. This permission is essential to enable these services and is used strictly within the scope of that functionality.
If you register or sign in using a social media account like Facebook, we may receive basic profile information such as your name and profile photo. Depending on your social media settings, we may also access your email address, date of birth, gender, city, liked pages, and other public profile photos. This information is used solely to help you set up your profile and improve your in-app experience. Profile photos are only used for creating and displaying your profile, and we may arrange them to help you present yourself better. We recommend reviewing your social media provider's privacy policy to understand how they manage your data.
We also automatically collect technical information when you use the app. This includes non-identifiable data such as your IP address, device type, language settings, general location, and how you interact with the app. This information helps us keep the app secure, ensure it works properly across different devices, and understand usage trends for improvement and analytics.
All collected data is used only for the purposes described and handled securely by your privacy preferences. Your data is never sold or used beyond what is necessary to provide the core features of the Focusaurus app.
Retention of Your Personal Data
The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
The Company will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of Our Service, or We are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.
If you wish to delete your account, you can do so by going to the "Settings" section of the Application and selecting the "Delete My Account" option. Once you delete your account, all personal data associated with your account will be permanently removed, including your email address, phone number, and usage history. Please be aware that once your account is deleted, you will lose access to any services or content that require login, and this process is irreversible. However, some data may be retained for a specific period of time for legal obligations, security purposes, or business needs, as required by law, or for the prevention of fraud and unauthorized access.
Transfer of Your Personal Data
Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. It means that this information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
Your consent to this Privacy Policy, followed by your submission of such information, represents your agreement to that transfer.
The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and no transfer of Your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place, including the security of Your data and other personal information.

If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.
